Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts after the club were linked with a move for Lille right-back Zeki Celik.
French news outlet BuzzSport had claimed that Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho has been encouraging the club to make an approach for the 23-year-old.
Tottenham have been short of options at right-back following the sale of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid in the summer.
Kyle Walker-Peters started the first three Premier League matches of the season whilst Mauricio Pochettino was still in charge but after suffering a hamstring injury in the home defeat to Newcastle, he failed to make another top flight appearance and was subsequently sent on loan to Southampton in the January transfer window (transfermarkt).
Serge Aurier has found himself as Jose Mourinho’s first-choice on the right side of his defence but still continues to show lapses of concentration in his ability to defend.
The report claims that Lille could be tempted to sell Celik for around £25 million this summer.
The Turkish international has provided three assists in 23 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this season (transfermarkt).
