Ex-Tottenham winger, Gareth Bale, was all set for a move to China this week, but the Guardian have now reported that his transfer to Jiangsu Suning is now off.
Bale had been expected to secure a big-money move away from Real Madrid on a three-year deal after years of stick from the Los Blancos fans.
This comes despite the fact that Bale has helped to lift four Champions League titles for Madrid in the past six years, as well as scoring 102 goals in 231 games (Wikipedia).
It has been six long years since Bale left Tottenham and much has changed in that time for both the player and his old club.
Spurs are no longer top-four hopefuls, but a consistent Champions League club, even making it all the way to the final last year under Pochettino.
The wage budget has also increased since Bale left, with the Express reporting that Tottenham actually made contact with Madrid over the Welshman this summer.
Some Spurs fans are excited by the news that Bale will not be heading to China, while others are fed up with the Tottenham links.
Me: Dont want Bale hes not hungry enough.
Also Me: OMG BALE IS COMING HOME TO LIFT THE PREMIER LEAGUE TROPHY WITH US https://t.co/DTG8zYRJeM

BREAKING – Real Madrid have come to an agreement with Tottenham over Gareth Bale.
They've agreed that it's never gonna fucking happen and that half of spurs fanbase need to get over that fact ?

Spurs fans feeling sorry for the way Bale has been treated in Madrid must have forgotten the way he left Spurs. What goes around comes around. https://t.co/G2ou2QDhQc
