Barkley snubs Chelsea

Everton midfielder Ross Barkley has apparently snubbed a move to Chelsea after a deal of £35million had been agreed between both clubs.

Barkley, who has left then 12 months to run on his current deal has told Everton that he wants to reconsider his position during the January transfer window.

The England international was at Chelsea’s training ground and had even undergone a medical and agreed personal terms.

Reading between the lines, is he holding out for a move to Tottenham in January instead once he has regained his fitness and in true Daniel Levy style will be valued at nowhere near the £35million which Chelsea were prepared to pay for him this evening.

Barkley has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs throughout the course of the summer and it could now instead happen during the January transfer window.

It’s always nice to see some karma being served to Chelsea. What are your thoughts?
