Bournemouth v Spurs kick-off time confirmed ahead of match against Ajax

It has been confirmed that the Premier League match between Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday 4th May will kick off at 12:30pm.

The match was scheduled to take place on the evening of Monday 6th May after being selected for live television by Sky Sports, however after Tottenham had booked their place in the semi final of the Champions League it would have meant that Mauricio Pochettino’s side would take to the field in the second leg against Ajax just 48 hours later.

Instead, Spurs will now have a four-day gap to prepare for the match in Amsterdam.

It has also been confirmed that in Holland, football chiefs have cancelled a full round of Eredivisie fixtures to help Ajax best prepare for the European tie. They were set to play De Graafschap on Sunday, 28 April, then travel to Spurs for the first leg on Tuesday, 30 April.

The Dutch FA, the KNVB, said the decision to cancel top-flight fixtures was taken to give Ajax “at least two full days of rest between games”.
