Chairman may have suggested he snubbed Spurs bid on social media

Tottenham Hotspur have a track record of signing promising young talent from the lower levels of the English footballing pyramid.

Spurs have recruited the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Lennon, Danny Rose and Dele Alli over the past decade with all going on to have successful careers in North London.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that he has rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for a player from within his academy.

MacAnthony firstly Tweeted that he had snubbed a £2million offer from a ‘top four’ Premier League side.

A Spurs fan replied to the Tweet to ask if the bid had come from the North London side to which MacAnthony replied with the eyes Emoji to suggest that their assumption was correct.

It is good to see that Spurs are being proactive in scouting highly rated youngsters from other clubs, we need to build for the future and continue the conveyor belt of talent at Hotspur waY.
