“Clear handball” – Some Spurs fans are not happy with decision

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been taking to Twitter to share their reactions to the first half of action against Bournemouth.

After 45 minutes of action in North London, the home side lead 1-0 courtesy of Dele Alli’s goal in the 21st minute.

A direct ball over the top of the Bournemouth defence was met by Heung-min Son and the South Korean played a deft pass to Dele Alli who provided a calm finish beyond Aaron Ramsdale.

Spurs started slowly with Bournemouth looking the most likely to score in the opening minutes with Paulo Gazzaniga producing a smart save early on.

A second goal for Jose Mourinho’s side was ruled as handball by VAR after Moussa Sissoko’s shot struck the hand of Davinson Sanchez prior to the Colombian finding the back of the net.

Spurs will also feel hard done by that they were not awarded a penalty when Steve Cook handled the ball in his own penalty area but it was not awarded.
