Club confirm that summer signing is returning to Tottenham

Leeds United have confirmed that Jack Clarke is returning to Tottenham Hotspur due to a lack of playing time.

The announcement was made in the official Leeds United match day programme (26/12/19) for their home match against Preston North End. A photo was taken by the BBC’s Adam Pope.

Clarke became Tottenham’s first signing for 517 in July when he made the move from Elland Road to the Champions League finalists and was immediately loaned back to his former club for the duration of the 2019/20 campaign.

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has sparingly decided to utilise the services of the 19-year-old in his first time with Clarke having made just three senior appearances this season, with two of those coming in the Carabao Cup (transfermarkt).

Tottenham are said to have had an option in January to recall the winger early from his loan spell with the Daily Mail having reported that both Brentford and Fulham are both interested in taking him for the remainder of the season.
