Confirmed Line Ups: Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford

Mauricio Pochettino has named his Tottenham Hotspur side for this evening’s Premier League match against Watford.

Following two domestic cup exits in the space of four days, the attention turns back to the league when the Hornets are the visitors at Wembley.

A win for Spurs would see them close the gap on second-placed Manchester City to just two points. However, if Watford win and Chelsea come out on top at Bournemouth, it will mean that Chelsea are just one point behind us.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last seven home games against Watford in all competitions (W6 D1) since a 2-3 loss in a League Cup match in October 1994.

The home side haven’t drawn any of their last 27 Premier League games (W20 L7). Victory or defeat here would equal the record set by Bolton between March-December 2011 of 28 games without a draw in the competition.

This is who starts for both sides:

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris (C), Aurier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Winks, Sissoko, Eriksen, Son, Llorente.

Subs: Gazzaniga, Trippier, Walker-Peters, Dier, Skipp, Lamela, Lucas

Watford: Foster, Janmaat, Mariappa, Cathcart, Holebas, Capoue, Hughes, Cleverley, Deulofeu, Pereyra, Deeney.

Subs: Quina, Success Ajayi, da Silva Gomes, Britos, Masina, Wilmot, Sema
