Darren Anderton has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts after Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the quarter final of the Champions League with a 4-0 aggregate win.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side rode out a barrage of attacks from Borussia Dortmund during the first 45 minutes of the match at the Westenfalenstadion with the home side looking to overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg.

Harry Kane took the wind out of Dortmund’s sails just four minutes into the second half when he latched onto a lovely through ball from Moussa Sissoko and confidently finished with his right foot beyond the goalkeeper to send the travelling Spurs faithful into dreamland.

Spurs have now booked their place in the last eight of Europe’s most prestigious club competition for the first time in eight years.

Anderton was full of praise for the performance of the Spurs players and gave a special mention for the goal scorer’s finish.
