‘Decent price at this time’ – Some Spurs fans react to reported valuation of contract rebel

Christian Eriksen has played a pivotal part in the progress which Tottenham Hotspur have made over the past five seasons under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, Spurs fans could be set to say farewell to the Dane in the coming days if a suitable bid is made before the European transfer window closes on September 2nd.

Eriksen revealed in early June that he wanted to seek a new challenge away from North London whilst also inviting interest from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).

Whilst a move had failed to materialise to date, the Daily Mail have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino and Daniel Levy have agreed that the playmaker can leave if a bid of £50million is received.

The former Ajax man is now within the last twelve months of his contract at Spurs and could walk away for free next summer unless the club cash in or he signs a new contract. Something which he is so far refusing to do (Express).
