Sebastien Bassong is a doubt for Tottenham’s Premier League clash against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The central defender was forced off injured while making his international debut for Cameroon.

With Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson still sidelined, Harry Redknapp is expected to move Vedran Corluka into the heart of the defence, if Bassong does not recover in time for the encounter at White Hart Lane.

  1. The second case is that of Sébastien Bassong, who was slightly wounded (scratched) on the knee in a struggle with Gabonese striker Daniel Cousin. Bassong’s case is less worrying, according to Dr. Guillardo and he may play on Wednesday, 09 September 2009 in the return match against Gabon. However, the final decision will rest with the manager.
