The Daily Star are reporting that Andre-Villas Boas wants to sign Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
According to the report AVB is ready to pay £15million for the Belgium hit-man who has scored 14 goals in Villa’s faltering season which has seen them battling against relegation.
Even more staggering is the claim that AVB is ready to sell both Jermain Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor – by replacing them with three new forwards! It would take a huge some of money from Daniel Levy if he was to bring in three world-class forwards in the summer.
The paper continues with Spurs are mindful of the fact that Villa may have to settle for less than £15million if they are relegated.
