Former striker urges Arsenal to victory after ‘spuds messed up’

Kevin Campbell has called on Arsenal to punish Tottenham Hotspur after Mauricio Pochettino’s side slipped up against West Ham United.

Tottenham had a 100% record going into the match against the Hammers but a lethargic display saw them punished when Michail Antonio’s 67thminute effort proved to be enough to give the away side a 1-0 victory.

The result means that Arsenal can close the gap on third-placed Tottenham to just a single point if they can win away at Leicester City this afternoon, while Chelsea can go level with the Lilywhites with victory at Old Trafford.

Campbell, who started his career at Arsenal and went on to make over 200 appearances for the club took to Twitter to urge his former side to win after the ‘spuds’ messed up.

If Tottenham can win both of their remaining Premier League matches against Bournemouth (away) and Everton (home) their destiny will be in their own hands and would certainly silence the likes of Campbell with yet another finish above Arsenal in the table.
