Frank Lampard provides Chelsea injury update ahead of Spurs visit

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of tomorrow’s match against Tottenham Hotspur.

Jose Mourinho brings his injury hit Spurs side to Stamford Bridge for the early Premier League kick-off after it was confirmed that Juan Foyth, Moussa Sissoko, Harry Kane and Heung-min Son are the four absentees (Spurs official).

Lampard has confirmed that Chelsea have their own injury issues after revealing that midfield general N’Golo Kante is set to miss the next three weeks.

Kante picked up an adductor problem in the opening ten minutes of Monday’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United (Goal).

The Chelsea boss also revealed that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be in the squad but is still not yet fit to start.

Defender Andreas Christensen broke his nose in the match against United and will wear a protective face mask.

Tammy Abraham is also in the squad after sitting out Monday’s match with Lampard suggesting that the forward is operating at 70%.

He told Football.London: “N’Golo is not fit, muscle injury. Similar to Arsenal. Hopefully three weeks. Pulisic not fit, no exact date. A difficult injury. Ruben is in the squad. Not fit to start, but in the squad.

“Andreas went to get a mask and has trained with it. Available for selection.

“Tammy has trained the last two days. Probably 70%. He is in the squad.”
