Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to signing midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon after nearly 18-months of zero transfer activity.

Gianluca Di Marzio claims that the deal has just a few details left to be completed before a €62 move this summer.

While Lamela shows immense skill in bursts, his injury problems have hampered any hopes of becoming a first-team regular under Mauricio Pochettino. Unless Erik can get over the issues that keep him sidelined for long parts of the season, he will always be resigned to a bit-part role.
