Google may have just revealed who Spurs will face in pre-season friendlies

There is just a little over a month until the new Premier League campaign kicks off in what has been arguably the shortest off-season in living memory as a result of the delay of the previous season due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Jose Mourinho’s first team squad are expected to return back to Hotspur Way on Monday August 17th to begin their pre-season training after a brief break which has seen some players jet off to the continent to recharge their batteries (Football.London).

Unlike previous years where trips to the USA and the Far East have become a key part of building the club’s brand, Tottenham will not be going on a pre-season tour as a result of COVID-19.

Instead, it appears that the North Londoners will be warming up against other English-based sides.

A search on Google UK for ‘Tottenham Fixtures’ may have just given an insight into who Mourinho’s men will face in their first three pre-season matches.

The search engine lists that Spurs are set to face:-

Saturday 22nd August – 3pm – Ipswich Town – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Friday 28th August – 3pm – Reading – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Saturday 29th August – 3pm – Birmingham City – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Facing Championship opposition will prove to be a good run-out for Tottenham as they look to build their match fitness.

It is likely that Mourinho will give his players limited minutes in the matches against Reading and Birmingham with both games taking place in the space of 24 hours.
