Harry: I’m getting sick of it

Harry Redknapp has hit out after it was reported that the Tottenham boss is set to be interviewed again by Revenue and Customs officials.

Redknapp’s home was raided by police in November 2007, but won compensation after it was declared to be ‘unlawful’.

Speaking in his column in the Sun, Redknapp said: “They won’t let it go even though I’ve got nothing to hide. And you know why? Because it’s me. It’s a matter of around £10,000 in tax they think I owe but which is in dispute.

“If it had been anyone else, a normal member of the public, they would have dropped it, or told them to pay up with a bit of interest and that would have been the end of the matter.

“But not with me and I’m getting sick of it. It’s been two years and this is what it has come down to.

“They have wasted however many millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money and this is all they have to show for it.”
