Harry Kane describes two players linked with Spurs as ‘quality’

Harry Kane has described to players who have been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur over the past few months as ‘quality’.

The Spurs striker is currently on international duty with England where they will face Holland this evening in the UEFA Nations League.

Two players who could line up for the Dutch against the three lions are Donny van de Beek and Frenkie De Jong.

While Spurs missed out on a move for De Jong, with midfielder revealed that he was tempted to make the switch to North London last summer and has since joined Catalan giants Barcelona in a deal worth £65million (FourFourTwo).

Donny van de Beek has also caught the eye for Ajax during their impressive Champions League campaign. which saw him score the only goal of the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the first leg of the semi-final.

He has subsequently been linked with a potential £45million move to Tottenham as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen, but will have to battle with German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund (Daily Mail).

Kane was asked his opinion about the pair ahead of the match and told Sky Sports: “They’re obviously good players, they’ve had great seasons,”

“I got to watch them play from the sidelines. You can see they’re quality.”

Opinion

While Spurs may have missed out on De Jong, van de Beek would be a fantastic addition to the squad. For once, Daniel Levy must get his transfer business done early rather than waiting until deadline day – Pochettino will certainly want any new players to have time to bed in and go through a full pre-season with the club.
