“He can go now if he wants” – Some Spurs fans react to player’s comments about his future

Lucas Moura gave plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans arguably the most memorable moment in recent years when he netted a second half hat-trick against Ajax to book our place in the Champions League final for the first time.

Despite his heroics in Amsterdam, the midfielder found himself on the bench for the European showpiece with Mauricio Pochettino instead opting to start the returning Harry Kane.

Moura struggled to be named in the starting eleven under Pochettino at the start of this season but has been a regular under new head coach Jose Mourinho (transfermarkt).

The 27-year-old revealed in an interview with Brazilian news outlet Lance that he could leave North London in a year’s time and is desperate to play for boyhood club Sao Paulo once again.

The former PSG player spoke of how he has a 10-year plan to remain in Europe for a decade and is now in his eighth year but could bring forward his timeline by a year.

Some Spurs fans have reacted on social media to Moura’s comments.
