Hugo Lloris was arrested in the early hours of Friday morning for drink driving and some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger.
The Spurs captain was arrested in central London after failing a roadside breathalyser test.
Lloris led France to World Cup glory in the summer and promised to take part in a pub crawl of his local town in Nice should his side lift the trophy.
It is reported Lloris was arrested at around 2:30am on Friday morning and has been released on bail but will be made to attend court on 11 September.
With a huge Premier League clash against Manchester United coming up, the news has not gone down well with the Spurs faithful.
