Huddlestone reflects on Bolton game

Tom Huddlestone admitted that he was in a tough battle against Bolton’s Kevin Davies on Saturday.

Huddlestone again took his place in the centre of the Tottenham Hotspur defence alongside Sebastien Bassong and had to deal with the physical threat of Davies.

“Davies is a very good player and everything goes through him, they certainly know his strengths,” He told the official Spurs site.

“I thought myself and Sebastien did okay against him. He’s a real handful but I thought we did fairly well.

“In the first half we weren’t really at the races,” he added.

“They got an early goal which was a poor one from my point of view to concede.

“After that, we didn’t create too many chances, but had the majority of the possession.

“Before the game we wanted to win but to come from behind twice against a team like Bolton, it’s not the easiest place to go so to come away with a point and a fairly decent performance is the main thing.”
