“I blame Jose and Hugo” – Some fans react after Spurs drop two points at Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur failed to maintain their grip on first place in the Premier League table after only managing to draw 1-1 at Crystal Palace.

Harry Kane gave Tottenham the lead 23rd minute with a dipping shot which deceived Palace keeper Vicente Guaita.

However, the Spaniard certainly made amends for his error with a string of brilliant saves to deny Jose Mourinho’s side a vital second.

Palace were by far the best side for the first thirty-five minutes of the second half and punished when Hugo Lloris saw the ball late from a free-kick and could only deflect it out straight into the path of Jeffrey Schlupp to fire home.

The equaliser appeared to lift Tottenham’s game and they had further chances to reclaim the lead through Harry Kane and Eric Dier, only for Guaita to produce an inspired reaction to both efforts to ensure Palace held on to take a point and leave the North Londoners wondering if they will regret the performance come the end of the season.
