Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of a late push for the Premier League title look to have come to a disappointing end this afternoon.
A frustrating performance saw Mauricio Pochettino’s side lose 2-1 at Burnley and some supporters were certainly not impressed by the performances of Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth.
Aurier’s dreadful clearance led to Burnley having another opportunity and the Clarets took their luck when a scuffed shot reached Ashley Barnes who made no mistake from close range.
It looked as if Spurs were going to get something out of the game when the returning Harry Kane leveled the score, but it was the Clarets who have broken the hearts of those fans who believed we had a chance of rivaling Manchester City and Liverpool for top spot.
Despite singling out Aurier and Foyth, the majority of the Spurs players were well below par.
Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted on Twitter.
Aurier is shit and will always be shit

How do you go from beating Dortmund 3-0 to losing 2-1 to Burnley? Aurier is useless on the pitch, officiating is bad, substitution is bad #BURTOT
