Jermaine Jenas praises Spurs player for his part in 3-1 win against Leicester

Jermaine Jenas praised Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after his impressive display against Leicester City.

The Spurs skipper produced a string of impressive saves throughout the Premier League encounter at Wembley.

When referee Michael Oliver pointed to the spot when he claimed that Jan Vertonghen had tangled with James Maddison.

The decision came at a pivotal point of the game with Spurs leading 1-0 and if it wasn’t for Lloris’ impressive save from Jamie Vardy’s spot-kick, it could have had catastrophic consequences for their Premier League title hopes.

Lloris has come in for criticism this season for some glaring mistakes on and off the field but went some way to redeem himself with his penalty save.

Spurs showed great character to get the job done when Christian Eriksen doubled their lead following Vardy’s miss.

Attention will now turn to Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund where fans will be hoping that Lloris turns in another display of this standard.

Jenas took to Twitter to share his praise of the Frenchman.
