Journalist reveals how much Bayern would have to bid to sign Harry Kane now

Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that Bayern Munich would have to offer €120m (£103.4m) to convince Tottenham to part ways with Harry Kane.

Despite Bayern’s £86m offer for Kane being turned down on Monday, multiple sources have reported over the last 24 hours that the two clubs are continuing to hold talks about the striker in the hope of reaching a compromise (The Athletic and Sky Sports).

On Tuesday evening, The Times asserted that the German club had informed Spurs that they would launch an improved €110m (£95m) offer for the striker.

The outlet added that in light of the latest development, Spurs are now ‘increasingly resigned’ to losing their star man, with Bayern allegedly looking to swiftly conclude a deal.

Bayern would need to offer even more for Harry Kane

However, Jacobs has now taken to social media to state that the £95m offer might not be enough to turn Tottenham’s head.

The journalist stated that Bayern would have to pay €120m (£103.4m), with a significant portion of the fee guaranteed in order to convince Daniel Levy to part ways with Kane.

Jacobs added that while the Bundesliga club are likely to make a new offer in the next 24 hours, they are now running out of time as the 30-year-old wants his future sorted out by the end of the week.

All indications suggest that we should know for sure within the next couple of days whether Kane is staying or leaving.

If Bayern’s next offer is also turned down by Levy, that will likely be the end of the transfer saga. However, there is certainly a decent chance that the bid would be accepted if it reaches close to a £100m.
