Journalist reveals yet another Spurs first team player is injured

The Tottenham Hotspur side which will take on RB Leipzig this evening was announced just a short time ago ahead of kick off at 20:00 GMT.

Jose Mourinho has decided to go with a central defensive pairing of Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier for the clash with the German opponents with Jan Vertonghen once again taking his place on the bench.

There was a relatively unfamiliar name for some among the Spurs substitutes with central defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott being named in the match day squad.

The 18-year-old Spurs academy product is providing defensive cover after it was revealed that Davinson Sanchez misses out this evening with a slight injury, according to PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal.

Sanchez joins Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Moussa Sissoko, Ben Davies, Steven Bergwijn and Juan Foyth in being sidelined for the Champions League round of 16 second leg.

Fagan-Walcott is yet to appear in a competitive, first team fixture for Tottenham.
