Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea’s Willian over the past few weeks (Football Insider).
The 31-year-old had been in talks with Chelsea over signing a contract extension, but negotiations between the two parties stalled after they failed to agree on terms with the Brazilian seeking a three-year deal (The Sun).
beIN Sports presenter Richard Keys claimed that Willian and Mourinho had already held discussions and a deal had been agreed to take him to the Champions League finalists
Willian revealed earlier this week in an interview with Bolivia Talk Show (as relayed by the Evening Standard) that he has an excellent relationship with Mourinho following their time together at Stamford Bridge and is still in contact with the Portuguese.
ESPN Brasil sports journalist Joao Castelo-Branco has poured cold water on the suggestion that Willian is on his way to North London this summer, insisting that a deal is nowhere near close.
