Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting with their three word match reports following the disappointing FA Cup defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.

The 2-0 loss at Selhurst Park was Tottenham’s second cup exit in four days following the Carabao Cup semi final second leg loss on penalties to rivals Chelsea.

Tottenham were awarded a penalty of their own when Patrick Van Aanholt brought down defender Juan Foyth, but Kieran Trippier’s effort was embarrassing to say the least and failed to even hit the target and ensured the Eagles took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Mauricio Pochettino left Christian Eriksen out of the squad and they lacked creativity in the final third of the pitch which consisted of Fernando Llorente, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou and Lucas Moura.

Spurs have now lost three of their last four games in all competitions – as many as in their previous 22 games combined.

Here’s a selection of thoughts from some Spurs fans.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. What today has proved to those who didn’t yet know is that the owner, the chairman, the board and the manager are not in it to win trophies. They are only interested in top four. We will never win the CL and well your guess is as good as mine on the league

  2. What has happened to Lamela??
All that talent, and he’s suddenly fluttering around in the final third like a damaged butterfly.
I used to bemoan his ‘float like a butterfly, but doesn’t sting like a bee’ persona, but now, despite
being our main man in that area, it’s worse. He doesn’t make the right pass, the right determined run, the right choices, and he visibly delays and panics when he’s on the ball in a promising position. It was awful and frustrating to watch ..but perhaps he can only play his best when surrounded by the likes of Kane, Alli and Eriksen.
I guess that’s true of most of them too. Good players when coming in to replace the odd key player injured, but when they come in en masse to replace effectively a whole bloody team, it really exposes how lightweight we are in back-up! Moura – poor, and looks short of confidence. Llorente and Nkoudou – it’s no good, they’ve had their chances and really must go now. Llorente is no ‘fit’ in whatever team Poch puts out! And why did a developing young right back play left back in this match??!! No decent crosses came in from the left at all for Llorente and others, despite KWP and Nkoudou’s presence there. Sanchez? You’d think our most expensive purchase would be growing as a player, but his first season with us was his best to date. Gazza is OK but he ain’t LLoris, or the next big thing in goalkeeping! Tripps – poor, for him, and cost us. He’s having a bad run of form, but come on guys, he’s still one of the best right backs out there! Dier? – is this player really going backwards? He’s always looked a bit clumsy and slow, but today was awful. Yet again, like others, he plays better with better players around him. Wanyama – didn’t see anything when he came on, and I’m not expecting him to stay at Spurs.
Skipp – felt sorry for him trying to play in midfield with all that lack of imagination around and in front of him. Foyth – love him. He’s going to be a heck of a player! Sterling – shouldn’t be near the first team yet.
So the FA Cup goes south yet again for us, but at least we didn’t expend energy reaching yet another bloody semi-final, only to lose it! How many lost FA Cup semis is it, since we won in 1991? Eight lost and none won!
But returning to now, who expected all these damn injuries? It’s like we’re thwarted in our ambitions at every turn! And even Son’s return is marred by him being apparently knackered from the Asian Cup. But then he’s another one who does not play well with both Kane and Alli missing from the team!

  3. shit result as usual never mind at least levy and co have not had to spend any money on players hay. Fuck all trophys for yet another season still as long as we can still qualify for the champions league so the cunt owners can keep making a large profit that’s all that matters hey. We will never win anything as long as we are owned by tight fisted owners who only care about profit. LEVY AND CO OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE PLEASE, the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THEN EUROPER LEAGUE if we then eventually drop into it will be next I guarantee it. Without KANE we are incapable of getting to a finale and wining a trophy, no strength in depth crap 1 capable striker a fucking joke.
