Who Lawro thinks will win between Spurs and Arsenal

BBC football ‘pundit’ Mark Lawrenson has had his say on who he thinks will win the North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Last time out, Lawrenson correctly predicted that Tottenham would draw with Liverpool at Anfield.

The North London derby is always a massive, must-win game but this game has some extra importance as we could extend our gap to a seven point advantage over the Woolwich lot in sixth place.

However, we need to look upwards and close the gap on Liverpool and Chelsea. It is critical that we qualify for Champions League football once more next season if we are to keep hold of our star players.

Lawro told BBC Sport Online: “Arsenal have made some very good attacking signings with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan but they have not strengthened defensively.

“Yes, the Gunners brushed Everton aside very easily last week, and they were great to watch.

“But Tottenham will be much tougher to break down and, at the same time, they can do some damage at the other end of the pitch too.

“I still think Arsenal can make a late run for the top four, but this is not a week where they close the gap.

“Lawro’s prediction: 2-0.”
