Liverpool are monitoring Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama amid uncertainty over Emre Can’s future at Anfield, according to The Mail.

Wanyama has missed a large chunk of the season with a knee injury and has mostly made short cameo substitute appearances since his return to fitness.

The Kenyan international’s stunning strike against Liverpool helped Tottenham to a thrilling 2-2 draw would have made potential suitors sit up and take further interest, however, I would be massively surprised if Mauricio Pochettino was willing to part with Wanyama.

He moved to Tottenham from Southampton for just £11million in June 2016 and still has three years to run on his existing deal at the club.

Big Victor is likely to start tomorrow’s FA Cup match against League Two outfit Rochdale to increase his match fitness. We’ll file this transfer rumour as bullsh*t.

  1. This rumour must never be allowed to happen they can have Dier I don`t understand MP picking Dier over a fully pledged midfielder like Wanyama Dier can`t play midfield looses to much poccession bad passing go`s AWOL in matches don`t let this happen and start playing a proper midfielder in Wanyama who has a great engine and can score given the chance when was the last time Dier scored take him Kloop with my blessing .

  2. This is a load of fabricated bullshit. Earlier in the week Steven Gerrard made a suggestion that Victor Wanyama or someone like him was the sort of midfield enforcer Liverpool needed in their midfield. All of a sudden the apes in the Northern press jump on it as a given that Liverpool are tracking Victor Wanyama. The brainless cunts on blogs perpetuate the story when there is nothing to the rumour. Spurs won’t be parting company with Wanyama, the story will continue throughout the Summer months and die a death at the start of next season.
