Liverpool interested in Spurs midfielder

Liverpool are monitoring Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama amid uncertainty over Emre Can’s future at Anfield, according to The Mail.

Wanyama has missed a large chunk of the season with a knee injury and has mostly made short cameo substitute appearances since his return to fitness.

The Kenyan international’s stunning strike against Liverpool helped Tottenham to a thrilling 2-2 draw would have made potential suitors sit up and take further interest, however, I would be massively surprised if Mauricio Pochettino was willing to part with Wanyama.

He moved to Tottenham from Southampton for just £11million in June 2016 and still has three years to run on his existing deal at the club.

Big Victor is likely to start tomorrow’s FA Cup match against League Two outfit Rochdale to increase his match fitness. We’ll file this transfer rumour as bullsh*t.
