Long-term Spurs target is going nowhere insists sporting director

Fulham have moved quickly to deny rumours that their star player Ryan Sessegnon could be set for a deadline day move away from Craven Cottage.

The highly-rated left-sided player has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time and were expected to move for him if Fulham had failed to gain promotion to the Premier League, the speculation had died down after they secured their return to the top flight only for them to rear their head again in the last 24 hours.

Sessegnon would have been a fantastic deadline day signing for Tottenham, but Tony Khan, Fulham’s sporting director has publically insisted that the 18-year-old is going nowhere.

Tottenham will have to keep looking elsewhere if they are to make a deadline day signing.

Khan said via his official Twitter account: “We’re not selling @ryansessegnon. We’ve never considered it! I couldn’t sit back and read these false rumors anymore, had to say something. Ryan’s key to this @fulhamfc squad; he’s one of the top young talents worldwide and in our plans for @premierleague success. Come on Fulham!”
