Lord Sugar blasts Arsenal and Chelsea for this reason

Former Tottenham Hotspur chairman Lord Sugar has taken to Twitter to criticise Arsenal and Chelsea during tonight’s Europa League final.

In what is supposed to be an all-English final, there is only one English player who has started the match.

Chelsea’s starting eleven consisted of no English or British players, while Arsenal only have the Ilford-born Ainsley Maintland-Niles from these shores who started the match in Baku.

It’s certainly a sad state of affairs for the national game in England, however there will be certainly more English talent who are likely to start the Champions League final between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in Madrid on Saturday night.

In our opinion, Kieran Trippier, Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Harry Kane will all be named in Tottenham’s starting line-up with Liverpool opting for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Scotland’s Andy Robertson.

Sugar was so infuriated that he even claimed that he wished both sides could lose the final in Azerbaijan.

Here’s what Sugar had to say on Twitter
