Lord Sugar mocks Arsenal in Tweet to Piers Morgan

Tottenham Hotspur produced one of their best European performances in recent years with a spirited second half display against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley.

While the visitors had the better opportunities in the first half, they were unable to capitalise and failed to break the deadlock. Mauricio Pochettino’s side wasted no time after the break with Jan Vertonghen providing a perfect cross into the box which Heung-min Son side-footed home.

Vertonghen turned from provider to goalscorer seven minutes before the end when he got on the end of a Serge Aurier ball and finished with conviction past Buerki. Spurs fans were sent into dreamland three minutes later when substitute Fernando Llorente headed in from a Christian Eriksen corner to extend their advantage to a three-goal lead.

Former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar wasted no time in mocking Arsenal fan Piers Morgan by asking him on Twitter if they are excited to be on TV on Thursday night, a subtle dig at the fact that the Gunners are playing in the Europa League this evening while their North London rivals continue to impress in the Champions League.
