Manager rules out possibility of rumoured Spurs target being sold next month

Hull City manager Grant McCann has warned potential suitors that Jarrod Bowen is not for sale in January.

Bowen has once again been in impressive form this season with the 22-year-old having scored 17 goals in all competitions to date (transfermarkt).

The forward has reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur along with fellow Premier League sie Newcastle United (The Chronicle).

The left-footer typically operates on the right-hand side of the pitch is out of contract at the end of the season, but was offered a new deal last month which he has yet to sign (Chronicle).

The report claims that Hull already have the option to trigger a one-year extension and the club plan to keep him at the KCOM Stadium for the remainder of the season.

McCann insists that his star striker will not be on the move next month and admitted that he has been impressed with the improvement which the former Hereford United has made this season.

“I think the club have made it clear that he’s not for sale,” McCann told the Nottingham Post.

“Not in this window, anyway.

“We’re really pleased for Jarrod to be here and Jarrod is loving being here.

“He’s on 16 goals now. He got 22 in total last year and he’s on 16 already. The improvement from the boy since the start of this season has been second to none.

“We’re not even at Christmas yet so it’s a phenomenal return from him. Long may it continue.”
