Mark Lawrenson on who will win between Spurs vs Sheffield United

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has shared his prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Sheffield United on Saturday.

The Premier League newcomers have enjoyed a good start to the new campaign and currently find themselves three points ahead of Tottenham in the table.

Spurs head into the match having finally managed to win an away game following the comfortable 4-0 victory in Serbia against Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night in the Champions League.

The North London faithful will be looking for their side to pick up all three points against a side where ‘on paper’ they would be expected to win.

Lawrenson believes that Spurs will end the Blades’ unbeaten run away from home in the Premier League this seaason.

He told BBC Sport: “Sheffield United continue to impress me but I am going for a Tottenham win here.

“I am just a little loath to do so because, away from home, the Blades are still unbeaten and always seem to play well too.

“But that run has to end somewhere and the signs are that Spurs are getting back to their usual selves.

“Lawro’s prediction: 2-0.”

Opinion

Mauricio Pochettino made a few changes to his side for the trip to Serbia and the selection worked well. Foyth and Lo Celso particularly had good games and should retain their place in the side this weekend.
