‘Meeting ongoing’ – Fabrizio Romano claims Pedro Porro did not train today as he pushes for Spurs move

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to report that Pedro Porro did not train today as he pushes for a move to Tottenham in the last days of the January transfer window.

The journalist added that talks are ongoing between Spurs and Sporting Lisbon over whether a deal can be salvaged or not.

A Bola reported earlier today that Pedro Porro has asked Sporting manager Ruben Amorim for help to force through his move to Tottenham.

This comes after Fabrizio Romano reported that the two clubs had finally come to an agreement over a transfer this week.

Unfortunately, Record reported overnight that the transfer was in jeopardy after a late change in negotiations from Sporting.

Sporting are allegedly now demanding that Tottenham pay another £2.6 million for the payment administration costs associated with the deal (The Times).

Porro himself is said to be actively pushing for the transfer to go ahead before the January transfer window closes tomorrow night (Dan Kilpatrick).

Spurs Web Opinion:

Flip a coin. I have no idea how this one is going to go. It’s poor form for Sporting to go back on an agreement and demand more money but also Spurs should not let this deal go for the sake of £2.6m.
