Mousa Dembele has joined the praise of Jan Vertonghen following Tottenham Hotspur’s impressive 3-0 win against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley yesterday evening.

The former Spurs midfielder, who left North London last month to move to join Chinese Super League outfit Guangzhou R&G after six and a half years at the club took to Twitter to praise Vertonghen’s performance.

Dembele replied to Vertonghen’s Tweet after the Champions League victory, with a simple Emoji of a Goat, which for those who are unfamiliar means ‘Greatest of All Time’.

Tottenham now have a rare opportunity to enjoy some recovery time ahead of next Sunday’s visit to Burnley in the Premier League.

  1. Vertonghen was sensational against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night but he is no Left Full Wing back Rose is our man in that position when fit , Aurier is a pathetic useless right full back if only we had a player like Rose in that position , Lucas Mauru more times on his backside never going to be a Premiership player , Trippier a lost cause just an average player who is suited for the Scottish 2nd division and who is first to race to take a free kick and make a cock of it as usual , one question I would love to know and that is Sissoko can be better than Dembele but the guy won`t take a few players on he has the speed , the strength , huge skill , but he would rather pass clumsy , as soon as he gets the ball he parts with it as if the ball is on fire , come on Sissoko you have the skill the way you play is the reason Newcastle got shot of you , we need your skill you would be a treasure to watch and you could tear teams apart .
