Paul Merson on who will come out on top between Spurs and Arsenal

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has given his score prediction ahead of tomorrow’s North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

The former Gunners midfielder believes that it will be a case of honours even at Wembley with both sides playing out a 2-2 draw.

Such a result will see Tottenham maintain a four point gap advantage over their rivals.

Spurs are looking to end a run of successive Premier League defeats after disappointing displays against both Burnley and Chelsea in the space of four days that effectively ended any hopes of a late title surge.

Mauricio Pochettino is sweating on the fitness of Jan Vertonghen and Harry Winks with respective hip injuries and will certainly be once again without Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

Arsenal come into the match high on confidence following their 5-1 demolition of Bournemouth in midweek.

Merson was highly critical of Harry Kane’s performance against Chelsea.

He told Sky Sports: “I don’t think Tottenham are playing well, and the pressure is off Arsenal going into this. Tottenham have to draw this game otherwise they’re going to be pulled into the top four battle.

“Prediction: 2-2.”
