“Peak Spurs ffs” – Some Spurs fans fume at Everton goal

Somewhat against the run of play, Everton have taken the lead against Tottenham Hotspur just after the twenty minute mark.

Spurs had a number of chances to take the lead, but have gone behind and it had to be Theo Walcott who scored the goal.

The former Arsenal man stole a march on Ben Davies who had switched off defensively and could only watch as Walcott finished past Hugo Lloris.

Harry Winks and Kieran Tripper were also just as guilty for their poor play in the lead up to the goal.

Just moments later Spurs were thanking their lucky stars when Calvert-Lewin’s header was chalked off after a push on the returning Davinson Sanchez.

Mauricio Pochettino will certainly be frustrated by how wasteful his side have been in front of goal, they could have easily been 2-0 up before Walcott had broken the deadlock at Goodison Park.

Son has since levelled with a stunning finish from an acute angle.

Here’s a selection of reaction from the Spurs support
