Photo: Emirates resembles a ghost town for Arsenal’s lap of honour

Arsenal bottled the opportunity to push Tottenham Hotspur in the race for a top four finish in the Premier League table after being held to a 1-1 draw by strugglers Brighton.

The draw means that Spurs have a three point advantage and a goal difference of eight to their advantage going into the final game of the season.

With Europa League beckoning for yet another season for the Woolwich, many of their fans decided not to stay in their seats at the Emirates following the final whistle for the obligatory lap of ‘honour’ by the players along with presentations for the departing Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck.

It must further justify Ramsey’s reasoning to leave the Gunners if many fans cannot stay and applaud him for his lengthy service to their club.

The stadium looked almost like a ghost town, which will certainly please Spurs fans who are once again on the verge of another campaign of Champions League football.

TalkSPORT presenter Ian Abraham’s captured the empty seats on his Twitter account.
