Gary Lineker has told Piers Morgan to be quiet following the latest Twitter exchange between the pair.

Morgan, the shamed former editor of the Daily Mirror is known for his outspoken views and support of Arsenal, whilst regularly trying to bash Tottenham Hotspur on the social network

However, Morgan’s earlier Tweet which claimed that Spurs had already bottled their Premier League title hopes was promptly responded to by Lineker following Liverpool’s 5-1 demolition of Arsenal at Anfield.

Following Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup earlier this month he said he was in “hell” after being made to don a Tottenham shirt to conduct the draw for the semi final.

Good Morning Britain presenter Morgan and former Spurs striker Peter Crouch had bet on the winner of the quarter-final, with the loser donating £1,000 to charity and wearing the rival shirt for the draw, live on Sky Sports.

December certainly hasn’t been kind to him and maybe it will teach him to focus on his own strugglers rather than focus on us.
