Some eagle-eyed Tottenham Hotspur fans noticed a new face during the first team’s training session at Hotspur Way earlier today.
While many supporters were focusing on looking for the likes of the returning Harry Kane, a promising youngster was spotted being put through his paces with some of the club’s stars.
18-year-old central defender Maxwell Statham is an academy second-year product and who was on trial at Championship outfit Norwich City over the past weekend.
He has made appearances this season for the U-18’s, but has not been able to break into the U-23 development squad.
Maxwell is the son of Brian Statham, who also started his career at Spurs made 24 appearances for the club before joining Brentford in 1992.
He can be seen in the background, behind Oliver Skipp and Victor Wanyama.
