STAR PLAYER

Dele Alli: While the England man could have easily seen red for a silly kick-out in the early stages of this game, Alli was again impressive as he was the driving force in Pochettino’s altered line-up. He was lively and some flicks and tricks accompanied his ability to take control of proceedings.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Ben Davies: The award of a penalty, although not quite as debatable as that which gave Spurs the lead at Man City, was questionable as Davies charged into the box before going down under minimal contact, with Chadli obliging from the spot to open the scoring.

VIEW FROM THE BENCH

Pochettino made seven changes and will be happy to leave with a draw and an away goal, which he will fancy adding to in north London next week. Without the injured Lloris and with talisman Kane playing just over 20 minutes, it was a relatively good night for the Spurs boss.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

Could the petulance of Alli end up costing either club or country at some point soon? He may only be 20, but the obviously talented midfielder needs to eradicate that sort of thing from his game.
