Fernando Llorente - 7

Llorente actually offered a different dimension for Spurs in the dying minutes. He won a few headers and held the ball up. Yes, he missed a golden chance from an Aurier cross, but he also buried his shootout penalty.

Tottenham built on their win against Brighton last weekend with a narrow victory over Watford in the Carabao Cup, but it took penalties to clinch it at Stadium MK.

Watford actually took the lead, despite fielding a significantly weakened team, as Isaac Success buried his chance well.

Spurs them came from behind to lead 2-1 with a penalty from Dele Alli and a break away finished by a fine Erik Lamela chip.

It looked to be routine for Spurs from then on out, but ex-Lilywhite Etienne Capoue had other ideas as his deflected shot cannoned off Ben Davies and found the back of the net at the death.

The game went straight to penalties and Spurs progressed to the fourth round of the competition.
