Pochettino vents his frustration towards manager

Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his frustration at Belgium boss Roberto Martinez after he went public about Jan Vertonghen’s hamstring injury.

The central defender picked up the problem in the first half of the Premier League win at Huddersfield Town and had to be replaced at half time by Harry Winks.

He has since missed the Champions League defeat to Barcelona where he was seen limping through the media mixed zone at Wembley.

Martinez has revealed that he expects Vertonghen to be sidelined for six or seven weeks, Pochettino has reacted by insisting that the former Swansea boss has jumped the gun with his opinion on the timeframe and that national manager’s should have an obligation to check with the respective club side first.
