Portsmouth have revealed that they plan on bringing Jamie O’Hara back to the club.

The midfielder spent the first half of the season on loan at Fratton Park and was forced to return to Tottenham Hotspur due to Pompey’s transfer embargo.  Now that the ban has been lifted, Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie wants O’Hara back on the south coast.

“(The announcement) is major news, it means we can can do something between now and the end of the window,” said Storrie

“It’s a boost for Avram [Grant], a boost for the team and the supporters.

“We’re looking to bring in two or three players, ideally four if we can and that would include bringing Jamie O’Hara back, which is our first priority now.

“If we can bring in three or four we believe we have a chance of staying up.”
