Predict Poch: Pick your Spurs team vs Swansea

Tottenham welcome Premier League strugglers to White Hart Lane on Saturday as we look to get our campaign back on track where only three points will do in the eyes of the fans.

After suffering our first league defeat at Chelsea last Saturday, there was some positive news yesterday at least with the announcement of Harry Kane’s contract extension until 2022.

Erik Lamela and Ben Davies are still sidelined through injury, while Toby Alderweireld is not fully fit.

If you were Spurs boss, what would your Tottenham team be to face the Swans?  Leave your selections by leaving a comment below.  Here’s our team:-

Walker Alderweireld Dier Rose

Wanyama Dembele

Alli Eriksen N’Koudou

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. Why oh why would you pick players that have been inconsistent at best all season, dier in the back 4 instead of Jan after his woeful defending in the last 4 games.
    Walker. C.vickers. Jan. Rose
    Dier wanyama
    Sissoko. Nkoudou
Obviously if Toby is fully fit he would replace c vickers and poch needs to stop showing faith in Alli and eriksen who have both been terrible all season and give sissoko a run in the team with nkoudou. Yes sissoko has been poor but no worse than Alli or eriksen.

  2. Lloris
    Walker, Dier (Toby), Verts, Rose:
    Wanyama, Winks:
    Son, Eriksen, Nkoudo

This should be good enough to beat Swansea at home. Eriksen was much better against Chelsea than he has been for a while.
Dembele was at fault for their first goal and is definitely off the pace at the moment. He is either carrying a knock, or has
forgotten everything he learned last season. Alli loses the ball much too often. He seems more intent on making opponents look silly with clever little cameo flicks/tricks, than he does about actually getting involved in the game proper. This is costing
us when we look to attack at pace.
Winks coming into the team has been a breath of fresh air. He looks to pass forward BEFORE he receives the ball, then makes the pass immediately he has it. Give him a few more starts and the players ahead of him will start to anticipate a pass and actually start a run when the see him looking just before he gets the ball. Nkoudo shown glimpses of what Poch sees in him against Chelsea. Starting him at home against Swansea could well be the making of him.
