PSV send tweet to Tottenham following Champions League drama

PSV Eindhoven sent a Tweet to Tottenham Hotspur’s official account following their result in Italy.

The Dutch side ground out a 1-1 draw at the San Siro against Inter Milan to play their part in a series of events that saw Tottenham Hotspur qualify for the round of 16 in the Champions League at the expense of the Italians.

PSV took the lead in the thirteenth minute when Hirving Lozano headed the away side ahead to the surprise of many, but it looked like Mauricio Pochettino’s side were in for another ‘Spursy’ evening when Mauro Icardi drew level in the 73rd minute.

Icardi’s goal meant that Spurs needed an equaliser against Barcelona in order to remain in the competition and they got what they deserved five minutes from time when Lucas Moura bunded home a pass from Harry Kane to send the travelling Spurs support at the Nou Camp into dreamland.

There was still time for further drama in Italy when a superb tackle from PSV defender Nick Viergever with just one minute of injury time denied Icardi a free shot on goal.

PSV couldn’t resist sending Spurs the following Tweet
