Redknapp snubs Dubai mega deal to stay at Tottenham

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has turned down £3m-a-year tax free to manage Dubai side Al Ahli and will instead sign a two-year contract extension at White Hart Lane.

Redknapp is in the last year of his current contract at Tottenham, in which Daniel Levy inserted an £8million release clause into the deal when he signed in October 2008.

According to the News of the World, the oil rich Dubai side also offered Redknapp free healthcare for him and his wife Sandra.  A chauffeur-driven car, free dentistry and free use of a villa that would be passed on to Redknapp at the end of his contract.

Levy initially met Redknapp for talks about Al Ahli’s approach a week last Friday and offered a slight increase on his £3m-a-year deal with Spurs.
