Report: Club’s new offer for Tottenham midfielder is expected to be accepted

Aksam have now revealed that Fenerbahce are now close to securing the services of Tanguy Ndombele after making a new offer for the Tottenham midfielder.

We previously relayed a report from Takvim (on Monday) which claimed that Galatasaray had launched a new offer for Ndombele.

The report claimed that the Turkish giants had ‘accelerated contacts’ with Spurs over the Frenchman and were keen on concluding the deal ‘as soon as possible’.

Fenerbahce step up pursuit of Tanguy Ndombele

If Aksam’s latest update is to be believed, cross-City rivals Fenerbahce have also responded with an increased bid for Ndombele.

The outlet claims that the Istanbul giants are not willing to give up on the Spurs star and after seeing their opening €10m (£8.5m) bid rejected by the North London side, they have now upped their offer to €13m (£11.1m).

The publication asserts that the new bid is expected to be accepted by Tottenham, with a transfer now looking ‘certain’ to be ‘concluded’.

Spurs Web Opinion

Agreeing a fee with Tottenham for Ndombele would not be difficult for any club as the Premier League side will be keen to get the Frenchman’s salary off their wage bill.

However, it remains to be seen if the 26-year-old will take a substantial pay cut and would want to play his football in Turkey.
